A look inside our 13 foot Scamp travel trailer

scamp

Many of you have been eagerly awaiting a peek inside our new “toy,” so I’m excited to give you a tour!

Our new (to us) Scamp is a beautiful, fiberglass dream camper! If you don’t know much about Scamps, there’s a few important things to point out. First of all, they’re super lightweight. This 13-foot camper weighs less than 2,000 pounds. So, we can pull it with our Subaru Outback. Secondly, they’re custom ordered. This means you can’t get them at a dealership and, in turn, makes them pretty rare.

We’ve had our eye on a Scamp for a while because we can tow it without having to buy a bigger vehicle. But due to the rarity of them, we struggled to find anything nearby. Then… out of nowhere… this beauty entered our lives.

The previous owners did SO many things to customize it. No other Scampers out there have an outfit quite like this. We love that we can celebrate all of their upgrades while also tailoring it to fit our style.

We plan to share all of our camping adventures on the blog.

So, stay tuned for reviews of Oklahoma camping spots, stories of our boys making memories, and lots of fun photos!

Until then, here’s a look inside Evie, our 13′ Scamp:

Before: dining table. After: bed!
scamp bed
The bed is just a tiny bit smaller than full size. We added a mattress topper on top of the cushions, and it’s actually really comfortable!

Of course, you must have some lights if you’re going to be outside!

So beautiful!

What do you think? Could you live that Scamp life?
