If you found this website because you’re a loyal reader from our old blog, welcome!
If you found this website through a Pinterest rabbit hole, or from a link on another social network site, welcome!
However you got here, I’m glad you’re here!
Recently, we (and when I say we, I actually mean I had the idea and told my husband it was happening) decided to renovate our blog. You can read more about why we made that decision below, but first I want to explain my plan for this site.
Fun content to come
I’ve always enjoyed sharing stories about our family, home, and adventures. But for a long time, I’ve wanted to do more. I have a passion for video, so why not take advantage of that?
I decided that there’s no better time than the present. You can’t do anything if you don’t get started. So, here a few things you can expect from this new site (in addition to our usual family updates):
- Crafting tutorials and videos
- Recipes and videos
- Free printables
- Giveaways and reviews
- And more!
For those of you who are thirsty for more information, keep reading. Otherwise, welcome! I hope you’ll continue to follow us on our journey. Be sure to subscribe by signing up on the right hand side of the page to stay in the know!
As a thank you, here’s a free graphic you can download and use as you wish. It’s one of my favorite quotes, and serves as a reminder that my wild dreams are possible.
Why the move?
When we started this blog, we were primarily focused on sharing the renovations of our 1913 home. After we moved from that home, we changed the blog name to Our 70s Home, but that just didn’t feel right. Our blog isn’t so much about our home anymore. It’s about our family, projects, and inspirations.
What does “Oak City Folk” mean?
Did you know Oklahoma City is sometimes called “Oak City?” Since we love our state, we wanted to pay homage to it in our new name. And since we’re folk, it just stuck.
Why should I follow you?
If you like to read about parenting adventures, watch videos, or see pictures of things like babies and dogs, then you should totally subscribe.
What about your old posts? I already miss the pictures of your rubber duck bathroom.
Don’t worry – all the posts have been copied to our new site. Check out the archives!
Will we ever see pictures of your new 70s home?
